Book general cargo within Germany online
With transportami you ship pallets, mesh pallet boxes and IBCs from one place in Germany to another, for example from Hamburg to Munich or within your region. Your goods travel as general cargo: they share the lorry with other shipments, and you only pay for the space your packages need. The transport is carried out by vetted forwarding partners from our network.
Booking is online. You enter the pickup and delivery locations, dimensions and weight, see the price, choose the pickup date and pay. You do not need to request a quote. For shipments abroad, see our page on international shipping.
What applies to shipping within Germany
You see the price for your route in the calculator before you book. Business customers can also pay by invoice.
If you book by 11:30 am, pickup is possible on the next working day at the earliest. You choose the pickup day yourself, up to four weeks in advance. Pickup usually takes place between 8 am and 4 pm.
Private customers ship on a disposable pallet; business customers can also use a Euro pallet, a mesh pallet box or an IBC. Up to six packages with a total of 3,000 kg can be booked online, with no more than 1,250 kg per package.
Can be booked online for goods worth up to €15,000. It is always included for private customers and preselected for business customers when booking.
The lorries have a tail lift and a pallet truck. Pickup and delivery are kerbside; the goods must be accessible at ground level and liftable from below with a pallet truck.
Euro pallets, mesh pallet boxes and IBCs are not exchanged at pickup or delivery. They count as part of the packaging and stay with the recipient.
How to ship pallets within Germany
- Enter the route and packages: pickup and delivery locations, load carrier, dimensions and weight. You see the price straight away.
- Choose a rate and pickup day: for each rate you see the transit time and the expected delivery.
- Enter the addresses and pay: for example with PayPal, Klarna, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or by invoice as a business customer.
- Attach the shipping labels: the labels arrive by email with the order confirmation. Stick one clearly visible on each package.
- Pickup and delivery: the freight forwarder collects your shipment on the day you chose. You can follow the status online in shipment tracking.

Your shipment is carried by an experienced freight forwarder from our network of more than 400 partners. Booking, payment and tracking are digital via transportami.
For private customers, the dispatcher calls before delivery. Business customers can add a delivery appointment by phone as an additional service if needed.
